What Is a Ceramic Coating?
A ceramic coating is a long-lasting SI02 based liquid applied to your vehicle’s paint, glass and plastics that chemically bonds with the surface, creating a protective, hydrophobic (water-repellent) layer. Unlike traditional waxes or polymer sealants, ceramic coatings provide durable protection that lasts for months on glass and plastics and years on paint, not just weeks.Plus, it gives your car a deep gloss and makes cleaning effortless, thanks to its self-cleaning, dirt-shedding properties.
Our Process
Deep wash and decontamination
We use a dedicated decon soap to thoroughly wash the vehicle, as well as an iron remover to chemically dissolve embedded brake dust and metallic particles. Finally, a clay bar or clay mitt with lubricant, is used to mechanically remove surface contaminants.
Machine Polish
A visual paint inspection and paint depth readings are taken using a paint depth gauge to determine a course of action for the best results in a safe manner. Using a dual-action polisher with compound or polish (depending on paint condition) we level out any minor scratches and imperfections.
Surface Prep
Using a clean towel and an IPA based product, the vehicles' paint is meticulously wiped down to remove any residual oils from the polishing process to prepare the surface for coating application and ensure a strong bond.
Seal the Glossy Finish, All Glass and Plastics with a Ceramic Coating
Once the surface is ready, we lock the finish and kick the gloss up a notch with your choice of Our Entry Level 4 Year Ceramic Coating Package or Our Signature 8 Year Ceramic Coating Package. With Both packages, we Include Glass and plastic coating at no additional charge.

How long does ceramic coating last?
At Legacy Auto Detail we offer two coating packages. Our Entry Level coating package has a longevity of 4 years while our Signature Coating package has a longevity of 8 Years.

How scratch resistant it Ceramic Coating?
Theres a common misconception that ceramic coatings are borderline bullet proof and that is simply not the case. Ceramic coatings form a durable chemical layer over your paint. It blocks UV rays and creates a surface that is super slick, easy to maintain and resists light scratches and swirl marks. It is a consumable product, meaning over time the self cleaning properties will diminish and reapplication will be required, think of it like a wax on steroids.
